Red Kelly said...: Huey Meaux was released, after spending twelve years in prison, in 2009. He was then placed on parole and forced to wear an ankle monitor. He was anything but sad, and remained his own inimitable self, living quietly outside of Houston in the small town of Winnie, Texas. He was looking forward to coming off of parole, and getting back into the music business this Spring. When the monitor was finally removed just prior to his 82nd birthday on March 10th, he was confined to a sick bed. He would never recover...; 8:38 AM
