This page is dedicated to the poor, neglected "B" sides of all these 45s I have. Let's listen to 'em together...
The very nature of the tracks we put up here is that they are obscure, and are transferred from my original scratched-up vinyl records to the computer. They may never be re-issued on a CD. If they are, you should buy them... they'll sure sound a whole lot better!
Be nice.Previous Posts

RIP, Solomon Burke!
Wow, man.
That is a powerful piece of film!
Amen.
What a wonderful man he was...
I enjoyed his shows at the Paradiso tremendously.
They brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my heart.
P
Thank you for sharing this Red. It means a lot to fans like myself. Rest in peace, King Solomon.
What a wonderful place for memories for me. I am K. Spence, the co-writer of the "Nothings Impossible" album. I give my praises to KING SOLOMON AND POPS (WILLIE MITCHELL) for the opportunity to write and work with 2 (did you hear me) 2 LEGENDS!!!!
I learned a helluva lot from both. As a songwriter its always hard to hear someone else tell you how a song should go that you wrote. Believe me I was humbled just to see Pops at work with a legend and given some game that few will ever get. From Solomon's strong fine tuned voice to Pop's fine tuned ear, it wasn't long before I was questioning my own writing, singing, and my own production skills. Most of all I learned that music should be approached like life. Of course you have to eat, breathe, and sleep music ( Ihave dreamed a song and jumped up and penned it) but like life you have to LIVE MUSIC.......AND LOVE IT!
REST IN PEACE TO A GOOD ,BEAUTIFUL SOUL. AND MY MENTOR FRIEND AND DAD...(ASK ANYONE WHO MET HIM) HE'S JUST WHAT EVERYBODY CALLED HIM "POP" I WILL LOVE AND MISS YOU BOTH.
